The Branch Coordinator position with the Ministry of Technology, Innovation and Citizens’ Services provides administrative support for the Service BC division. Working in Victoria, you will be a central information point for Service BC’s staff across the province.

Coordinating your schedule and daily tasks to support staff in various locations, you will be a “go-to” person in the office, offering top-notch customer service to co-workers, other branches/divisions. You will be responsible for ensuring operations run smoothly, designing and implementing new processes and systems, and assisting the Executive Directors so that they have everything they need for their daily meetings and activities. Some of your day-to-day tasks will include preparation and proof-reading of documents, scheduling meetings, monitoring and ordering supplies, and handling phone and visitor enquiries.

The Branch Coordinator is expected to carry out the duties and responsibilities of the position with minimum supervision, maintaining confidentiality of information and using discretion when addressing sensitive issues. The incumbent must exercise initiative, tact and diplomacy, and act independently in undertaking a wide variety of responsibilities.  Always approachable and professional, whether working independently or as part of a team, you have a well-founded reputation for completing assignments on time, often with limited direction.
