The Dispute Resolution Office, Justice Services Branch focuses mainly on enhancing access to justice through justice transformation projects, including the development of user-focussed alternatives to traditional court processes and the cutting of cost, complexity and delay.  This will be achieved through a shift to user-focused dispute resolution models and an integrated approach.  Current initiatives include the implementation of the Civil Resolution Tribunal – Tribunal Transformation initiative, the streamlining of BC’s human rights services, and the implementation of a Public Legal Education and Information program. 
The Expert System Analyst will analyze, develop, refine, manage, maintain and implement delivery of highly specialized, client-focused technology-based services. Highly organized, you will develop data taxonomy and hierarchy to ensure ease of access to information for users through a variety of methodologies and user-centric processes. You will operate at the center of a multidisciplinary justice service delivery infrastructure combining service redesign, technology, dispute resolution, and client service. You will create and manage content delivered directly to the public through a multi-disciplinary, multi-sensory, web-based expert system platform.

To be considered for this position your resume must clearly demonstrate that you have the following:

- Degree in information architecture, user experience design, interaction design, computer science, human computer interaction or a related area plus one (1) year related experience; or Diploma in a related area plus two (2) years related experience. An equivalent combination of education, experience and/or training may be considered. Preference may be given to applicants who possess a related degree

- Minimum one  (1) year experience Managing content –  synthesizing information of various volumes and complexity and display in way that is easily understood and follows a logical path

- Minimum one (1) User testing and service design experience

- Minimum one (1) year experience in information architecture or user/interface design

- Experience with the creation of decision trees / logic charts, workflow and information flow diagrams.

- Experience with mock-up and prototyping tools like Visio, OmniGraffle, Balsamiq, Adobe Creative Suite, Axure, HTML, JavaScript, and Cascading Style Sheets

- Experience in technical support, problem solving and troubleshooting
