Salary $86,000 - $112,000 annually

The Director, Environmental Monitoring, Reporting & Economics is accountable for the planning and delivery of a diverse set of provincial programs and services including: air, water, and climate monitoring networks; air audit; environmental data management; environmental quality assurance and laboratory services; economic analysis, and state of environment reporting.

Qualifications:


In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:

Education and experience:


  • University degree, preferably at the Masters level, in science, environmental management, environmental networks, natural resource management, business/public administration, resource economics or a related discipline and three (3) years related experience.

  • Experience leading and/or facilitating multi-disciplinary teams of professionals and technical experts.

  • Experience leading large and multi-faceted projects or programs.

  • Experience developing and maintaining partnerships with other ministries, levels of government and/or stakeholder groups.

  • Experience conveying technical information to a non-technical audience.

  • Experience managing financial and staff resources.

  • Experience leading and resolving complex staff and/or client issues.

  • Experience analyzing and resolving complex natural resource issues, and developing recommendations for executive.

  • Experience in providing authoritative scientific advice, guidance and recommendations to senior officials in local, provincial, federal or international governments


Preference may be given to candidates with:


  • Experience related to environmental monitoring, climate monitoring networks, data analysis and visualization, spatial data analysis, data management, and systems development.
