Client Services Worker
Salary: $39,575.90 - $44,721.76 annually


This posting is to establish a pre-qualified pool of applicants (applicant inventory) who will be eligible to apply on  full-time, permanent part-time, and temporary positions in Income Assistance offices in the following locations: Hope, Trail, Merritt, Nelson, Cranbrook, Williams Lake, Oliver, Powell River, Quesnel, Salmon Arm, Prince George, Sechelt and Prince Rupert.
 
Applicant inventories are used to streamline the recruitment experience. They are designed so applicants can be considered for multiple Client Service Worker opportunities within the Ministry of Social Development and Poverty Reduction. Applicants who are successful in the first stages of the assessment process will be placed into an applicant inventory and notified of opportunities as they arise. The notification will provide the location of the available position, and invite those in the inventory to complete a brief questionnaire which only needs to be completed by those who wishing to interview for a position in that location.

The Service Delivery Division of the Ministry, while providing income assistance to individuals and families in need, is committed to increasing independence through employment by providing programs and services that move people towards sustainable employment and off assistance.
 
As a Client Services Worker you will provide information and services to persons seeking employment, income, and/or disability assistance. You may work with the public and or ministry staff either in-person, over the telephone, and/or within a virtual environment. Based in numerous provincial locations, these services will be provided with equal parts patience, empathy and resilience. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to multi-task while maintaining attention to detail
  
If you have strong organizational skills, experience in providing excellent customer service, willingness to take on new tasks, and the ability to work effectively as part of a strong team, we encourage your application.
