As the Licenced Resources Specialist you will provide senior professional advisory services, including providing direction to others, within a natural resource program area.

Qualifications:


In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:

  • Degree in the natural resource field or equivalent as recognized by the relevant association.

  • Registered, or immediately* eligible for registration, as a fully licensed Registered Professional Forester (RPF) with the British Columbia Association of Forest Professionals (ABCFP). *Immediately means you are a fully licensed registered Professional Forester (RPF) in another Canadian Jurisdiction (member in good standing) and can immediately transfer to the ABCFP.

  • Demonstrated experience as a senior professional advisory services as a specialist in a particular field of expertise (i.e. Forestry, as it relates to natural resource management) in support of natural resource decision making within a program area (i.e. forest stewardship, forest tenures and authorizations).

  • Demonstrated experience in negotiating/mediating solutions in natural resource management.
