Job Summary:

Project Lead 
Management Band 3
BAND 3 - Salary $72,000 - $100,000 annually.  Note: A $32.89 bi-weekly Isolation Allowance applies to the Smithers location.

Amended: One position is available and can be located in either Victoria, Smithers or Prince George.  Other locations in the Skeena and Omineca regions may be considered.
Amended: An eligibility list may be established for future opportunities in Victoria, Smithers, Prince George, Fort St. John, Dawson Creek, or Fort Nelson.

This provincial team brings together experts in planning, GIS, biology, policy development, modelling, as well as engagement and consultation to plan and deliver recovery actions.

The Project Lead provides authoritative advice, interpretation and/or consultation services while leading a team of specialists who provide professional expertise in the delivery of services specific to the area of specialty. To be successful in this role,, you will have demonstrated experience in leading and motivating staff and contributing to an internal working environment that is conducive to success

Smithers is filled with activities like fishing, boating, camping, hiking, skiing, and shopping. The Wet’suwet’sen people are very close with the community, and have introduced many traditions. This quaint town with a friendly atmosphere is a wonderful place to live and visit.

    In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:

  • University degree, diploma or equivalent in natural resource management.

  • Amended: Minimum of 5 years of experience related to natural resource management.

  • Experience leading and resolving complex issues with multi resource stakeholders.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in leading teams on complex natural resource management projects.
