The Network, Communication, and Collaboration Services branch of OCIO Technology Solutions provides data, voice, video, conferencing, and productivity services to the BC public service. 
 
As Technical Analyst you’ll be part of a team responsible for planning, configuring and supporting the Province’s Unified Communications infrastructure. You will provide technical expertise and advice in the design and development of our Microsoft based Unified Communication services.

In this role you’ll work closely with colleagues, vendors, and clients. You’ll plan, troubleshoot, and implement Unified Communication solutions for client’s province-wide. Therefore, you have excellent communication skills and are great with people as well as technology. You are comfortable explaining concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You’re also adaptable, ready to manage multiple competing priorities in a constantly evolving environment. If all of this describes you, then we want you to join our team!

Qualifications:

In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:
 
a) Computer Science Degree, and 2 years of *related experience; OR
b) Diploma in a related field, and 3 years of *related experience; OR
c) Certificate or program completion or some course work in a *related field, and 4 years of related experience; OR
d) 5 years of *related experience
 
*Related experience may include troubleshooting, testing, implementing software and hardware solutions.
 
Preference may be given to applicants with:

  • Experience using Lync\Skype for Business
